Homecoming Rhapsody is the culmination of a creative project for young people that is inspired by the unique heritage, landscape and language of Argyll.
The performances involve over 200 senior Argyll and Bute pupils, brought together in a collaborative environment to participate in a high quality celebration of creativity.
Building on the Highland Year of Culture 2007 Argyll Rhapsody, Homecoming Rhapsody is an expression of pride in our young people’s culture.
From Burns Night to St Andrew’s Day, a country-wide programme of exciting events and activities has been underway to celebrate some of Scotland’s great contributions to the world, Burns, Whisky, Golf, Great Scottish Minds & Innovations and our rich culture and heritage which lives on at home and through our global family.
Organisations all over the country are involved in a huge variety of activities. Here in Argyll and Bute we have staged an exciting programme of events to delight residents and visitors alike, Homecoming Rhapsody reflects the quality of the programme as a whole.
